\nThe advantages of neoprene dry suits against the more popular dry suits in trilaminate are:
\n-easy (and therefore cheap) repair and maintenance
\n-some thermal insulation so no under suit or just a thin one will be enough for most water temperatures (so again cheaper!)
\n-elasticity (neoprene is stretchy, so it can be a little tighter on the body still allowing movement)\u2026
\n-price (roughly 30 to 40% cheaper than a trilaminate)
\nThe disadvantages are:
\n-Heavier weight
\n-It takes longer to get dry
\n-Back zipper (you need a buddy unless you know how to close the zipper by yourself\u2026in fact there are ways)
\n-A very small compression at depth and subsequent change in buoyancy
\n-Less flexible for those who dive both very cold as well as warm waters and want to keep dry, cuz you cannot wear a heavy undersuit and in warmer waters you might get a little hot<\/p>\n
