New dry suit in pre-compressed 3,5mm neoprene with back BDM zipper.
The advantages of neoprene dry suits against the more popular dry suits in trilaminate are:
-easy (and therefore cheap) repair and maintenance
-some thermal insulation so no under suit or just a thin one will be enough for most water temperatures (so again cheaper!)
-elasticity (neoprene is stretchy, so it can be a little tighter on the body still allowing movement)…
-price (roughly 30 to 40% cheaper than a trilaminate)
The disadvantages are:
-Heavier weight
-It takes longer to get dry
-Back zipper (you need a buddy unless you know how to close the zipper by yourself…in fact there are ways)
-A very small compression at depth and subsequent change in buoyancy
-Less flexible for those who dive both very cold as well as warm waters and want to keep dry, cuz you cannot wear a heavy undersuit and in warmer waters you might get a little hot
Sizes – 3/8, 4/9, 5/10 and 11; 6/10 and 11, 7/11 and 12, 8/11 and 12
